Our Story Haymark Electrics
The year was 2006 and Mark Hay had just fully qualified as an electrician. and was subcontracting for other electricians – working on jobs like maintenance for Metro Trains and the Ministry of Housing.
It was definitely an okay living. But there was always “what’s that got to do with me?” attitude toward anything more than just doing the electricals. This grated at Mark.
It’s not that the work itself wasn’t done properly, it was just that any of those nice little details – such as showing up on time or doing your best not to get in someone else’s way – were considered everyone else’s problem entirely. He knew that, given the chance, he could run a team that went the extra mile.So it is that he set out on his own, starting Haymark Electrics. This is built on the idea that making a dollar is important, sure, but so is ending the day with a smile on your face. It’s about building great relationships with customers and knowing that nothing is going to come back to haunt anyone.With a decade in the business, Haymark Electrics has grown from one man into a team of capable, qualified and licensed tradesmen, handling everything from switchboards to solar, homes to hospitals and alarms to lighting.
How We Do Business We’re a full service outfit.
This means that every job begins with proper planning and continues with clear communication to make sure that the work you order is what you really need.
As we work, we’ll treat everyone in the building, from the CEO to the cleaner, with a warm and friendly professional courtesy.
We aim to create as little interruption to other people’s work and lives as possible.
Of course, the nature of what we do means that some disruption some of the time is unavoidable. I mean, hey, we’re dealing with wiring here. We’ve got to switch the power off to work with it. But that’s no reason to not to be mindful of interruptions and keep them to a minimum.
Then when the job’s done and it’s time to go, we’ll clean up after ourselves. Because the only reminder you need that we were there is your electrics in good working order.
